Conscientization is a neologism, coming from the Spanish word conscientización.It conveys the idea of developing, strengthening, and changing consciousness. It was created in the field of education, specifically of adult education, in the early 1960s, producing at the same time a new conception of consciousness.

A key concept in Paulo Freire`s approach is conscientization, meaning the ways in which individuals and communities develop a critical understanding of their social reality through reflection and action.

The English term conscientization is a translation of the Portuguese term conscientização, which is also translated as "consciousness raising" and "critical consciousness". The term was popularized by Brazilian educator, activist, and theorist Paulo Freire in his 1970 work Pedagogy of the Oppressed.

It is a social process that unites people in a common problem, who reflect and then act upon their world (Lloyd, 1972). “Conscientization is an ongoing process by which a learner moves toward critical consciousness. This process is the heart of liberatory education.

Conscientization refers to a type of learning which is focused on. perceiving and exposing social and political contradictions. Conscientization. also includes taking action against oppressive elements in one's life as part of. that learning.

Education as the Practice of Freedom

Freire's method of conscientization centres around learners coming together in culture circles consisting of somewhere between 12 and 25 students and teacher, all involved in dialogue and learning with and from each other.

What is the opposite of wild?

Meaning; Treat (a person or animal) harshly, so that they become untrusting or nervous. Opposites of Wild. civilized, civil & urbane

- (of animals) Opposite of wild and feral, without taming or domestication. 

tame. broken. domesticated. busted.

- undomesticated, untamed, unbroken; ferocious barbarian, savage tempestuous, stormy, frenzied, turbulent boisterous, insane...

Human language and its constructions are strange, if not unjust. It has all along been the case!

When in fact the earth is rotating and the sun is not, we say that the the sun rises and sets!

In Malayalam too, we say for example, 'കല്ല് തട്ടി' when in fact we only hit at it, may unknowingly!

My Scripture professor went to the extent of saying, if a dog were to write a scripture, it would certainly write that God created dogs in his own image and likeness!

You know the difference between nature and culture! Nature is considered to be പ്രാകൃതം (wild) while culture is സംസ്കൃതം (civilized/cultured) and so on! 

From all this i would dare to go a step forward to say that we, humans only lost the Paradise while the rest of the livings, including the animals are still in the Paradise. That may be the reason Jesus wanted to look, rather imitate the birds of the air and lilies of the field!

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: പാഠ്യപദ്ധതി പരിഷ്കാരത്തിനു പുറമേ, സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ അധ്യാപക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും അടിമുടിമാറും. കേന്ദ്രനിർദേശം പാലിച്ച്, അധ്യാപകരാവാനുള്ള മിനിമംയോഗ്യത ബിരുദമാ ക്കും. അധ്യാപകബിരുദ പ്രവേശത്തിന് കേരളത്തി ൽ പ്രത്യേകം അഭിരുചിപ്പരീ ക്ഷയും ഏർപ്പെടുത്തും. അധ്യാപകവൃത്തിയിൽ താത്പര്യമുള്ളവരാണ് വരുന്നതെന്ന് ഉറപ്പാക്കാനാ ണിത്.

Good morning. To my limited understanding, Jesus never ever instituted anything. That's why the first group of disciples were called 'the way' (Acts 9:2). It was this group Saul set out to persecute. And it was the same group Jesus identified himself with (9:5)! Even the resurrection was an experience of a woman who loved him and loved by him. That was even challenged by one of them. The Eucharist/Mass over which such a lot of hell is made out of was a memorial after the Passover which was asked to be observed as an ordinance throughout generations for ever (Ex 12:14). Whereas Saul turned into Paul in 1Corinthians says, "Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." (11:25). Among the synoptic gospels Luke alone has "Do this in remembrance of me.” (Lk 22:19 and 1 Cor 11:24). The rites, rather rituals employed, whether Syrian or Latin, whether of the Synod or the seemingly majority priests of the Ernakulam - Ankamaly archdiocese are all of much later origin. And to dispute over it is unbecoming of Jesus' disciples. Obedience is to the gospel values, rather Kingdom values and not to any edict, even of any synod. What matters is Jesus' memory. And it was one of the elders who presided over this memorial. Even the bishops and priests came still later... What wrong all of a sudden came to the liturgy celebrated for the past five decades or so! Do we understand Jesus' saying,"the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him." Jn 4:23.
