Journalism is the practice of gathering, recording, verifying, and reporting on information of public importance. Though these general duties have been historically consistent, the particulars of the journalistic process have evolved as the ways information is collected, disseminated, and consumed have changed.
-Journalists research, write, edit, proofread and file news stories, features and articles. Their pieces are used on television and radio or within magazines, journals and newspapers, in print and online.

-Journalists in India are responsible for uncovering and reporting on important stories that impact society. They play a critical role in holding those in power accountable and promoting transparency and democracy across society and the various wings of government.
