തിരുവനന്തപുരം ലത്തീൻ അതിരൂപതാ മെത്രാപ്പൊലിത്ത -19.03.2022

 'വചനം മാംസമായതു' (യോഹ 1:14) പോലെ... 

 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാട്' (യോഹ 1:29) 

'നല്ലിടയൻ' (യോഹ 20:11) ആയിത്തീർന്നതാണ് യേശു... 

 '... ഒരാൾക്ക് നൂറ് ആടുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കെ, 

 അതിലൊന്ന് വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോയാൽ 

 തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതിനെയും മലയിൽ വിട്ടിട്ട്, 

 അവൻ വഴി തെറ്റിയതിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു പോകയില്ലേ? 

 കണ്ടെത്തിയാൽ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച്... 

 സന്തോഷിക്കുമെന്ന്... ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു...'(മത്തായി 18:12-13). ആടുകളെ പോറ്റാതെ, സ്വയം പോറ്റുന്ന 

ഇടയന്മാർക്ക് ദുരിതമെന്ന് എസെക്കിയേൽ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു: 

 'എന്റെ ആടുകൾക്കു ഞാൻ അവരോടു കണക്കു ചോദിക്കും... 

 ഞാൻ തന്നെ എന്റെ ആടുകളെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു കണ്ടുപിടിക്കും...'(34:10, 11) ഇതിനോട് ചേർത്തു വായിച്ച് ധ്യാനിക്കാം 

 23-മത്തെ സങ്കീർത്തനത്തെയും... 

 തുടർന്ന്, തന്റെ 'ആടുകളെ മേയിക്കാൻ' (യോഹ 21:15) 

അവിടുന്ന് പത്രോസിനെ ഭരമേൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു... 

'ദൈവത്തെയും മാമോനെയും സേവിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുകയില്ല' (മത്തായി 6:24) യേശു ശിഷ്യർക്ക്, വിശേഷിച്ചും, 

തിരുവനന്തപുരം പ്രാദേശിക സഭയുടെ 

 ഇടയ ദൗത്യം ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്ന തോമാ, അങ്ങേക്കും... 

 'അരപ്പട്ടയിൽ സ്വർണമോ വെള്ളിയോ 

 ചെമ്പോ കരുതി വയ്ക്കരുത്. 

 യാത്രയ്ക്കു സഞ്ചിയോ രണ്ടു ഉടുപ്പുകളോ 

 ചെരിപ്പോ വടിയോ കൊണ്ടുപോ കരുത്'. (മത്തായി 10:9-10). 

 'വിജാതിയരുടെ ഭരണകർത്താക്കൾ 

 അവരുടെമേൽ യജമാനത്വം പുലർത്തുന്നുവെന്നും 

 അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികൾ അവരുടെമേൽ അധികാരം 

 പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയാമല്ലോ. 

 എന്നാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെയിടയിൽ അങ്ങനെയാകരുത്' (മർക്കോസ് 10:42-43). 'മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്, ശുഷ്രൂഷിക്കപ്പെടാനല്ല, 

ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കാനും സ്വന്തം ജീവൻ അനേകർക്കുവേണ്ടി 

 മോചനദ്രവ്യമായി നൽകാനുമത്രേ.' (മർക്കോസ് 10:45). 

 'നിങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവും ഗുരുവുമായ ഞാൻ 

 നിങ്ങളുടെ പാദങ്ങൾ കഴുകിയെങ്കിൽ, 

 നിങ്ങളും പരസ്പരം പാദങ്ങൾ കഴുകണം.' (യോഹ 13:14). 

 '...ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ദാസന്മാർ എന്നു വിളിക്കുകയില്ല... 

 സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെന്നു വിളിച്ചു.' (യോഹ 15:15) 

 ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ 'സത്യത്താൽ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണമേ!' (യോഹ 17:17) 

 എന്നവിടുന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു, കാരണം 

 'സത്യം അവരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരാക്കും.' (യോഹ 8:32). 

 അവിടുന്ന് 'അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്യപ്പട്ടത് 

 ബന്ധിതർക്ക് മോചനവും അന്ധർക്കു കാഴ്ചയും 

 അടിച്ചമർത്തപ്പെട്ടവർക്കു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും 

 കർത്താവിനു സ്വീകാര്യമായ വത്സരവും പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാനുമാണ്...' (ലൂക്കാ 4:18-19).

 'യേശു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത് 

ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്ക് ജീവനുണ്ടാകാനും 

അത് സമൃദ്ധമായി ഉണ്ടാകാനുമാണ്.' (യോഹ 10:10). 

 ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയിൽ മാംസം ധരിക്കട്ട, 

 അങ്ങ് നല്ലയിടയനായിത്തീരട്ടെ, 

ദൈവജനം അതനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ... 

ഇതാണെന്റെ ആശംസയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും...

Yet another loud thinking on Authenticity and authority…

‘And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.’ (Mt 7:28)’… and coming to his own country he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all this?” (13: 54-56) ‘Is not this the carpenter…?’ (Mk 6:3) “Is not this Joseph’s son?” (Lk 4:22)

Jesus to his contemporaries was not what he is today for the Christians, even for others! He was fallible, vulnerable like any one of us: ‘… he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.’ (Mk 11:12-13) ‘…he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death… if it is possible, let this cup pass from me…” (Mt 26: 37-39) ‘When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled… Jesus wept…’ (Jn 11: 33-35) ‘And when his friends heard it, they went out to seize him, for they said, “He is beside himself.” (Mk 3:21)

Where did this otherwise ordinary Jesus get his authority? It was not from any ancestry or any position or possession, anything from outside but from the realization of being the child of God which becomes his authenticity. It is being thoroughly honest to oneself as well to others, transparent, needing no defense for one’s words or deeds, having nothing to hold on or to safeguard and let things go, let them take their own course, needing no one to authenticate… It is being genuine, wholesome experiencing and enjoying oneness with the Other (Jn 10:30, 14:9) and the others as well (Mt 25:40, 45), everyone and everything and thereby the freedom of the children of God…

None can take away authority derived of authenticity, nor will it diminish, nor can it hurt but only heal… It is ‘easy…and light’ (Mt 11:30) Where do we, the priests, the ‘alter Christos’ stand in contrast to Jesus having ‘nowhere to lay his head’ (Mt 8:20) still was not ‘anxious about …life nor about… body’ knowing that his ‘heavenly Father knows that (he) need them all. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.’ (6:25ff)… The Sermon on the Mount has this more to say: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.’ (6:19-21)
