Christmas...

 

Happy Christmas!

Christmas is the memorial of the birth of Jesus who was called Christ and his 'followers' Christians.

Nowadays, ‘Cosmic Christ’ and 'anonymous' Christians too are there, they say! 

Gandhi, the father of the nation was known to have said, 'i love Christ but not Christians!'

Though 'Christians' call him 'son of God', he called himself 'son of man'! 

Various Christian denominations weigh each other to hold monopoly over him, for what other than to..! 

At this Christmas, who is Jesus for you? 

Jesus 'went to Nazareth... entered into the synagogue... the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him... he found the place where it was written: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because of this, he has anointed me. He has sent me to evangelize the poor, to heal the contrite of heart, to preach forgiveness to captives and sight to the blind, to release the broken into forgiveness, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of retribution."... And the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him. Then he began to say to them, "On this day, this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing." And everyone gave testimony to him.' (Lk 4:16-22).

If the prophecy of Isaiah could be fulfilled in us too, the happiness we wish one another could be ours too...

May the joy and peace of Christmas be yours too in the year to dawn, 2025!
