Adam I love call you

For, you are known so

From childhood, though

You love to be called Bryan…

This day was awaited

For quite some time

Mostly for your mom

To join you for this

Day of joy and blessings…

‘Man proposes but

God disposes’ so goes

The adage and now

It so happened that you

Are to receive the Lord

In bread and wine species

Even in your mom’s absence…

But be sure that

She is very much with you

In spirit and blessing you

Like unto God himself

Who too is not seen really…

Have you ever wondered

As to why at all should Jesus

Present himself in the form of bread!

Having known the pain of hunger

Could easily feel the hunger

Of the multitude around and

Multiplied the few loaves and fishes

Offered by a selfless child forgoing

His own need for the hungry lot…

What is bread after all, other

Than the sweat and toil of

Our parents or guardian or wards

Who bring us up, educate and equip?

That might have prompted him

To give his body in the form of bread!

Now, as you receive Jesus in bread

You are committing yourself to

Alleviate hunger and wants of

Everything necessary for human dignity…

Be mindful of this and

Give yourself for others…
